♥ this dress...♥

Oh, this Dahlia dress is one of my absolute favorite little numbers in my closet. I've worn it to school, weddings, the grocery store...it's perfect for any event, no matter how extravagant or low-key. I love that it can be worn causally (as shown here) or sans the tights & oxfords, replacing them with high wedges and a chunky necklace. I don't really remix it too much since the dress is lovely enough to stand alone.
Trying out a new pose, but it just looks like I'm popping a squat.

I hope you all have a great start to your weeks tomorrow. <3

    1. Me, too! All-occassion dresses just make having spent all the money feel so worth it! This is such a multi-use dress and it wasn't cheap so I feel I've already gotten my moneys worth. ;) And really, you can make practically any dress wedding-ready by just adding the right accessories, high heels, and having your hair in a nice updo.

    1. Thanks, Allison. I love couch-potatoing up my weekends. It's perfection! And you know, we tried to start watching that show but we couldn't make it past the first 5 minutes of the first episode. But then I watched like 5 episodes at my sister-in-law's the other day and I loved it! I think Mikey and I should give HIMYM another shot and just skip the first ep. :)

    1. Thanks, Trice ♥ I do tend to rock a bit of the childish wear. Lol But I think you could rock it with some sky high heels!

  6. Oh my geez this is has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen from ModCloth. Man oh man I wish I had seen this! SO adorable and you pull it off so nicely. But you pull off everything you wear in your shots. Also, sitting around watching TV shows all day is one of my favorite things to do. It sounds like me and Grant's Saturday except for we just watched a TON of Raising Hope :P

    1. :))) Yeah, unfort' this dress came out over a year ago so it's been long gone. You could always check ebay because I know you'd look super cute in it.
I've never seen Raising Hope. I may need to check it out if it's on Netflix. We're always looking for new shows to watch!

  7. Oh I love it, especially with the bow belt! I was looking at a few Dalhia dresses on asos (I think it was asos) and I really wanted one as they were really cute, but none were as cute as the one you are wearing. I love the colour too. xx

  8. I like the color of the dress, too. I love the earrings, like seriously love them. I was talking with my niece, trying to decide what my style is and I think it's a mix of edgy/classic cool. Those earrings are right up my alley!

Sounds like you're watching the right shows, considering you live in Jersey. lol

    1. I would concur that your style is pretty edgy. I wanna see the more classic look...as in, simple black dresses on you!! You can borrow the earrings and shoes and whatever you want next time you're in town. :)
And yeah, lol none of those shows are of any substance AT ALL, but they are like train wrecks and SO addicting!

    2. lol hehe. I don't know how much substance the Big Bang Theory has, but that's my love. That & True Blood.

Yeah, I think I'll do a post about edgy/classic cool when I get back. Dresses, won't happen til the summer time, and it's too hot for that. lol I was thinking about like leggings, a great sweater, flats and hoop earrings, like Holly GoLightly. If I do dresses, they have to be short, because I am and that makes me look taller.
