Diana Ross hair day

I made it through the week!!

Rarely do I rock what I proudly call my Diana Ross hair (the Supremes were one of my favorite groups as a kid). I have naturally curly hair, and I've always believed in this rule when styling it: the bigger, the better. Of course that doesn't go for all hair styles...like the Snooki poof. But curly hair, beehives, 80's themed party hair, yes - get it as big as possible.
Mine wasn't as big as I know I could get it (it's bigger than these pictures let on), but it was satisfiable Diana hair nonetheless.
I bought this blouse last summer. Today I noticed it still had tags on it. So here is this little darling's debut. "Nice to meet y'all", she says.
Blouse: F21
Cardi: Target
Jeans: American Eagle
Heels: Seychelles via ModCloth
60's handbag via Speakeasy Vintage (Montclair, NJ)

How many of your moms used Aqua Net hairspray back in the day??? Y'all probably said, "Oh my gawd" or LOL'd. I'm probably gonna start using it again, because that shet held your hair in place for days. And I'm sure it'll give me the true D.R. hair I desire. Oh, and it's $2. Yup, I'm bringing it back.

Mikey and I are headed out for sushi before I work at Clash tonight so I'm cuttin' this short.
Cheers to a fabulous weekend, dolls.

Love,
Roni

Picture from our sushi date. I just had to come back and update my post. Look at how cute my sweetie looks in his new shirt I bought him (from ModCloth). They have great shirts for your guy, ladies.

  1. Nice outfit! Don't you just love finding gems in your cupboard you've never worn! I moved recently, well four months ago, and I still haven't fully unpacked all of my clothes. So i've only been wearing things from one pile. God knows what I'll find when I do unpack.

    1. Thanks, Lauren! And yes, I loove finding gems that still have the tags on them. I usually keep those unworn items next to each other, but I'd forgotten all about this one and today was such a pretty, sunny day, I had to bring it out.
Happy hunting when you unpack! :)

  5. lol I never find things that still have tags on them. I come home, try them on, take the tags off, and then take them off. haha Nothing ever goes in with the tags on.

    1. I never take the tags off clothes until I wear them. I try them on to make sure they fit of course, but I don't take the tags off. Just a habit :)

    1. Spanks! I need to wear it curly more often. I just ran out of the curl product that I loved and couldn't find it anywhere. It worked the best for my hair, but I found it last Tuesday and bam! I'm back to curly hair!
You can live in the US and share my wardrobe. I have enough for two! :)

It's okay, my day wasn't a bust. I had a great day so I'm happy with that. I hope you didn't use your day waiting on your aunt. We need to get together soon. I mish you!

  13. ADORGASM! You look as cute as a button. As far as the hair...I love big curly hair too. It must be the TX in you (AND me by way of my mama who is from TX). I rarely wear my hair sleek...I wear it big and curly pretty much everyday. I may rock an afro puff or a little bob but 9x out of 10 it'll be big and curly. BTW, Mikey looks like the stinkin' adorable guy version of you. You 2. I. Can't.

    1. HA!!! You totally gave me comment-ear-to-ear-cheesy-smiles!! I love my Khalilah with all her sweetness and charm. Thanks for the nice words, love! You make me happy. :)
And what the heck?! I don't remember us talking about your mom being from Texas. I'm sure you might have told me too, because it seems like something that might have been brought up. That's super awesome though!! You're technically a Texan, too! Yeehaw! <--Lol, but really. I'm lovin' Khalilah with some Texas sass in her...in addition to all the other sass. :)
And thanks about Mikey! The other night the little girls upstairs asked if Mikey was my brother. I about died, LOL. They know damn well he's my husband, hahaha. But no, I get you, thank you :) I'll definitely take that as a mega compliment.

    1. Girl, I have about two handfuls of clothes with tags on them in my closet right now! Only lately have I been getting really REALLY good about shopping my closet in efforts to save money (I've been doing a good job), but yeah, I just usually shop so much I don't get around to wearing what I have. LOL
Thank you :))) I wish we lived closer so we could do a sushi double date.
