Country in Jersey!

My friend Jen has been telling me to download the iHeartRadio app to my phone. Today I finally did and I wish I had done so earlier. I spent the latter part of my 3 hour break listening to KJ 97, a country station from San Antonio. Jersey literally does not have a single country station. At least not the area I live in. Trust me, I've searched. How sad! I love country, especially old country and even if Jersey did have a country station, they'd probably only play the new stuff...which can sometimes (sometimes) be referred to as crap. KJ plays new stuff from Josh Turner to the songs from George Strait that I personally grew up with, to my favorite old tunes from the likes of Patsy Cline and Waylon Jennings. Vintage country. I only ever get to hear KJ 97 when I visit home, obvs. So it was really nice to tune in and listen live today, all the way up here in Giants-ville. :) Thanks for the suggestion, Jen.
And on a different note: my school getup. I gave this dress life for the 2nd time. I think it's so cute, it deserves to get out more. I've been doing pretty well with shopping my closet lately, as inspired by Miss Trice. Yay for saving money [on clothes - clearly I've still been shoe shopping]!
I actually wore my hair curly and down today, but it got pretty windy so I pulled it up, hence why I look so disheveled.
I also like the way this dress looks with my red Cole Haans & a red lip to match.

  2. I wish I had a cool phone so I could download that app. I love old country music too. Must be a Texas thing :) Garth Brooks is my fave. I am still holding out hope that he might do a comeback tour.

  3. Garth Brooks is awesome! I got to see him and George, when Garth passed the Artist of the Decade torch to him in 2009 in Vegas. It was probably one of the best shows ever! I think you might get your wish. It's not like he's super old or anything. He turned 50 yesterday! And George is still touring (thank GOD!). I hope to catch him this year, but I doubt I will be able to. :(

  4. I unfortunately know very little about country, so I don't have much to say about that. But that is cool that the app allows you to listen to stuff from all over. This dress is adorable on you. I really like how it ties at the top :]

    1. Oh, then you're missing out, my friend! You should try listening to some Patsy Cline and other singers from that time, like Marty Robbins, then go on to the next decades. It stops getting *super* good past the 90's, but there's still a few gems out there. :)
Thank you. I love how it ties at the top and at the waist in the front.
