My Fair Lady

[Pictures from when my cousin Mercy was in town in July.]
This lovely day was spent at the Meadowlands State Fair and only cost us $3 a person. I just love when fun stuff is cheap.
And this was the part of the night where I cried. This white bengal tiger got to perch up on this rotating globe while "The Circle of Life" (yeah, the Lion King song) played and he sort of did this waving thing with his hands. Doesn't sound sad, I know, but I'm just a baby for sweet moments. And that song is just ridiculously touching.
Don't you dare act surprised that there's another one of these pictures. My goal this summer was to make it where y'all can't even think of funnel cakes without my face popping into your head. Did I succeed?
Romper & flats: ModCloth// Ruby Street Little Kennedy Bag: Kate Spade (it's on sale now - go figure. Sorry Mikey) Sunnies: ASOS

TGIF! Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend, friends! <3

  4. that looks like a blast. Although I dont think I would have cried at the tiger's performance but I might have cried thinking of his crap life living in a crap cage when he should be roaming the jungle. (I used to be a member of peta when I was in college and I guess I still have some lingering animal rights activist in me) Now for something more serious than animal rights. I'm talking about funnel cakes and how delicious they are. Its a really good thing I cant make one myself cause I would have the fattest ass in the Northeast.

    1. True. I did feel horrible for all the tigers and that massive lion that were stuck being Fair performers - although they were amazing at their jobs. I mean, I get torn between the whole, "they should be running free in the wild", and the "but it's so awesome to be able to see them this close" thing.
Um...I think I have the fattest ass in the Northeast :/

    1. Hehehe :D I seriously cannot get enough of them! I am beyond obsessed. Beyond infatuated. Where does that leave me? Requiring therapy? For funnel cakes? haha Don't mind me.
Oooh, "disqus"? I'll google it. I need to really get to it. I hate not knowing when people reply to my comments and then it's as if I've ignored them! I have this thing with not ever wanting to come across as rude...unless I want to come across as rude. :)
Glad you love the mini novels! ♥

    1. Thanks, sweet lady! Umm...I have a really fast metabolism and I run every now and again. Not as much as I used to though. But I'm trying to change that. Especially if I eat this much fried shit. :)

  8. Ummm HIIIIIIIII can I stick my face in that funnel cake?!! And you cried at the rotating-globe-spinning-cheesy-song-waving white tiger!?!? Oh Roni. I love you. So so much.

And alright. Maybe I think "Circle of Life" is kinda tear-jerking too : )

    1. You can stick your face in whatever you want!! hahahaha Oh, boy! That sounds terrible!
LMAO at your word-dash-word comment! I'm glad I could be cute to you. :)
It is sooo tear jerking! It reminds me of how Mufasa died before he ever had a chance to see Simba grow up OR meet his grandlion.

  9. You look gorgeous in those sunnies!! So glamourous :] I wish I had gotten a funnel cake the other night - I am kicking myself now. I went for the "heart attack" -homemade chips with nacho sauce- and then didn't have any room - daaang. Oh well. Haha. You are too cute crying over the tiger. I am sure it was very touching. I definitely have moments like those too.

    1. Awwwie thank you, lover! What is wrong with you?! How could you be in the presence of funnel cakes and not have a mouth covered in powdered sugar?! This is madness!
Those heart attack nachos sound rather inviting though. Yuuum. I love artery cloggers. Oh, honey, you learn to make room! hahahaha I have taught myself how to, specifically by reminding myself that I'm not always at those places that have that kinda food. I'll regret not getting it later is my mentality. :)
I wish I didn't cry so easily at things. Especially in public places, but most of the time I can't help it. Let's be babies together! Babies who eat all the funnel cakes. :D

But I'm glad you thought of me! I saw a girl today wearing a sweatshirt with a band name on it that I've totally seen you wear in your pictures!! Made me think of you. :)

    1. Yup! You pretty much explained me to a T. I don't cry much over pain. I am pretty good about that. But sappy stuff, oh, I'm done. :)
$13 is steep for a fair! Yucks.

Always a pleasure to hear from you, Jessa. Your comments make me smile!
