"The Rain, the Park and Other Things"

It's been raining a decent amount here in northern New Jersey, but last Tuesday it rained beautifully. I mean it was really coming down! I took this picture of my sunroof taking a liquid beating as I sat in my car to finish some homework. Rain makes me positively happy. About as happy as this song by the Cowsills.
"I saw her sitting in the rain
Raindrops falling on her
She didn't seem to care
She sat there and smiled at me
And I knew (I knew, I knew, I knew, I knew)
She could make me happy (happy, happy)
Flowers in her hair, flowers everywhere
I love the flower girl..."

"Suddenly the sun broke through..." so we took a stroll through my favorite Jersey town: Montclair.
Dress: Ruche (old)// Cardi, bag: ModCloth// Tights: Target// Heels: Seychelles// Boat shoes: AE// Mustard belt: H&M// Bow belt: F21// Sunnies: ASOS

Aren't these tulips gorgeous? I'm smitten with their color. Aside from Texas bluebonnets being my number one flower (half because they're truly gorgeous, half based on home-state bias), I don't think I could ever pick a favorite; there's so many with each redefining "beautiful". Do you have a favorite?

We found an eyeglass store in Montclair that was willing and able to put lenses in my vintage 50's cat eye frames. I'm really excited since I've had them sitting in my closet for almost a year now, waiting to be filled for showing off how awesome they are wear. I am not, however, excited about the cost. But when I get them back on Tuesday, I know dollar signs will be far from my mind. They're super bitchin'!

Happy Sunday, pretty birds!

    1. Oh, that sounds really pretty! What colors? Or wait, can you pick which color tulips you wanna plant or do they just pop up randomly? LOL That's probably the stupidest question I've ever asked. :S

  12. That song just makes me smile :) I love the rain as well (as long as I can stay in bed all day) but I miss the Southern storms. I swear the storms up here are babies compared to the whoppers we get in Texas.

    1. Southern storms are the best, I've always said that! There's something about the way the thunder rumbles in Texas...ah! It just doesn't rumble like that anywhere else. I miss that.
